Connected Riding and Horsemanship Clinic

Come join us the weekend of April 16th and 17th at Dunrovin Ranch. We will be hosting a fun and informative clinic taught by Certified TTouch Practitioner Laura Faber-Morris of the Wholistic Equine Center in Whitefish, MT. Learn to improve the balance and harmony between you and your horse, gain solid groundwork skills that translate up into the saddle, and learn how the proper biomechanics of horse and rider can create success through partnership.

Laura teaches a variety of methods to help you become more in tune with your horse. These methods include TTouch, a form of bodywork that improves behavior, performance and healing. TTouch was developed by internationally recognized animal expert, Linda Tellington-Jones, PhD; Connected Riding, developed by equine professional Peggy Cummings. Connect Riding is based on the biomechanics of movement, teaching riders to synchronize with their horses movement to create more ease and better performance; and The Masterson Method, an integrated, multi-modality method of equine massage developed by Equine Massage Therapist Jim Masterson. Whether you want to have a deeper connection with your horse, or improve performance, this clinic will get you on the road to accomplishing your goals.

Equine Good Citizen Program

Starting March 13th, 3-4:30pm, we are glad to have local equine professional Lauren Sands-Vaughn join us at the ranch to kick off her very own Equine Good Citizens Certification Program. This will be followed by a five week riding course in Western Dressage Fundamentals.  Lauren Sands Vaughn has experience in a wide variety of disciplines and styles of training, including all around western, western dressage, classical dressage, Doma Vaquera, equine psychology, liberty work, trail riding and trick training. She participated in the first Western Dressage Association of America Train the Trainers event, Extreme Mustang Makeover, and was 2014 CAWDA Top 5 in the open division.

Participants will learn to establish a strong foundation with their horse. Then, participants will have the opportunity to transfer these skills into the saddle in the Western Dressage Fundamentals Course, which will be offered later this spring. Participants will also have open-arena practice time and continued weekly-mentorship with Lauren via DaysAtDunrovin. Both programs end on a day of testing and awards to celebrate the horses’ achievements and the leadership skills of the handler.

Sundays 3:00pm-4:30pm: March 13, 20, 27 & April 3, 10

optional testing day & open arena times available
